Welcome to the Bates Farms & Dairy Ltd website. We are very proud to say that we have been delivering fresh milk and other dairy produce in Southport and its surrounding areas for nearly 70 years. We deliver fresh milk 6 days a week to over 8000 customers in our environmentally friendly electric milk floats. We deliver the milk in recyclable glass bottles which you can return back to your milkman each day.

As well as delivering to households we also supply to the wholesale trade comprising of newsagents, nursing & residential homes, hotels, restaurants & educational institutions.

We are located on Stamford Road in the Birkdale area of Southport and have been so since we started delivering milk in 1939. All of our milk is pasteurized and bottled daily in our modern dairy plant is supplied to us by local farmers in the North-West of England. We employ over 70 people at our Southport-based premises including sales, rounds persons, administrative staff & dairy processing staff.

We pride ourselves in producing a product of such a high quality in partnership with local farmers in the North-West of England. We continue to work closely with our farmers to ensure that the product that we deliver to you is of the highest quality.

Dairy foods contain high-quality protein. Milk has all the essential amino acids, so it's as good as meat or fish as a source of protein.

A small amount of milk protein, when combined with vegetable protein, markedly boosts the nutritional quality of vegetable protein.
